Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay, https://www.universite-paris-saclay.fr) is a new federation comprising 19 higher educational institutions and research organisations, including Université Paris-Sud, and is signatory of the Europe and charter for researchers and code of conduct for the recruitment of researchers. UPSaclay has about 6000 registered doctoral students, 45% of them foreigners, in 20 doctoral schools, all bound by a common charter for doctoral students based on European recommandations. UPSaclay defines a common doctoral policy, guarantees high standards and effective governance, delivers the Doctorate degrees and signs the agreement on joint international supervision of Doctoral Thesis for PhD students recruited by Université Paris-Sud.
