BeMAGIC Mid-term check and workshop – post event

The BeMAGIC Mid-term check and Workshop took place online on 7-11 December 2020. The first part of the event was devoted to training the ESRs (Early Stage Researchers). Besides attending to the 8 scientific lectures scheduled, the ESRs participated in a training on core communication skills, time and project management given by ThePaperMill. Training on how to perform specific lab techniques was also provided through videos recorded by the Beneficiary partners in their premises.

The Mid-term check started on Thursday, 10 December, at 13:30. After the introduction by the REA Project Officer, representatives of each Beneficiary and Partner Organization presented their institutions, teams, and their role within the BeMAGIC project. Afterwards, the Project Officer delivered a talk aimed at explaining the purpose of the Mid-term check, the obligations of the network members, the reporting and financial aspects. During the Coordinator’s report session, the Coordinator described the project and the network, and the Project manager presented the progress of the action. Subsequently, the ESRs introduced themselves by presenting their educational background and their BeMAGIC individual training and research project. On Friday, the Project Officer met the ESRs in a restricted session to discuss administrative, supervision, training, and integration issues. The Coordinator team also had the opportunity to tackle the implementation issues with the Project Officer in a private session. Finally, the Project Officer provided her feedback regarding the development of the action to all the participants.
