MAGNES AG

Magnes AG is a technology spin-off from ETH Zurich. Magnes focuses on development and fabrication of tailor-made magnetic materials and their integration into microsystems. Potential uses of such systems range from automotive sensors and consumer electronics to biomedical microdevices and security tags. Magnes offers expertise in a widerange of magnetic materials from extremely soft-magnetic alloys to state-of-the-art permanent micromagnets. (website: http://www.magnes.ch/)

Magnetoelectric materials: why now and why in Europe?

What makes ME materials so special is their ability to simultaneously respond to external electric and magnetic stimuli

Research methodology and approach

BeMAGIC is organized in 8 interdisciplinary Work Packages

Intersectorial approach and synergies

BeMAGIC gathers a world-class balanced combination of fundamental and applied multi-disciplinary scientists/engineers across Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or Biotechnology
