The training in transferable skills of the BeMAGIC workshop organized by the University of Cambridge took place online on 10-11 May 2021. The 15 ESRs (Early Stage Researchers) of the network participated in a training given by Dr. Gavin Lucas, from the Partner Organization ThePaperMill. The main goals of the training were to: (i) develop a strategic approach to reading for research, (ii) share resources and techniques for finding and managing relevant literature and (iii) explore and discuss some key aspects of the scientific publishing system. Besides this training, the ESRs attended a very useful lecture delivered by Prof. Judith Driscoll, entitled: Meet and Editor, on how to successfully write and publish scientific papers.
